What is DUMBO?
Just over the water from Manhattan and nestled between the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges, lies one of New York City's best undiscovered destinations. With its astonishing rebirth from industrial port to creative mecca, this recycled - and recycling-friendly - neighborhood has morphed and evolved into the hip, vibrant community it is today. Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass, New Yorkers gather to work and play, to share ideas, a home, and a beautiful view - all to the rhythm of trains passing overhead. This is New York, this is DUMBO.

What is Under the Bridges?
One Glass Productions is excited to announce the first ever television docu-series about DUMBO. Under the Bridges profiles area artists and creative business who exceed expectations for environmentally sustainable practices and social responsibility. The goal is to increase awareness of outstanding individuals and creative business within the DUMBO community, while also generating interest in the artistic neighborhood as a whole.

With the pilot episode complete, we intend to air the program on local network television once we reach our fundraising goal to complete the series. A clip from the pilot episode can be seen in our video player to the left, and a DVD screener of the full episode is available upon request. The full espisode contains segments on Susan Woods of Aswoon Studios, Prague Kolektiv, Halcyon the Shop, and Spring Gallery.

Event
On October 23rd, we will be holding a multi-platform arts celebration, including a fine Art Auction, live music, entertainment, and a screening room with work from local filmmakers. The event will take place at NYC's first LEED certified cultural venue, Galapagos Art Space in DUMBO. Save the date, and e-mail info@oneglass.org for ticketing information.

Next Steps
Together we have the extraordinary opportunity to introduce the artistic DUMBO culture to the world, as well as promoting environmental responsibility in urban settings. However, One Glass Productions cannot do it without your help.

How to help:
Donations-
Under the Bridges is a sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, a non-profit arts service organization. Contributions in behalf of Under the Bridges may be made payable to Fractured Atlas and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Donations can be made online at the Fractured Atlas Website. Mailed checks should be made payable to Fractured Atlas with "In behalf of Under the Bridges" in the memo line. Check or money order contributions should be sent to: One Glass Productions, 179 Sackett St. #3, Brooklyn, New York, 11231.

Non-Monetary Contributions-
For our October Screening Event, the types of non-monetary donations that would help immensely are: catering services, printing services, gift certificates, coupons, and other locally-created merchandise. And we especially appreciate donations that are themselves environmentally-friendly! Due to equipment costs of production, other types of non-monetary contributions are extremely valued as well. Such contributions may include, but are not limited to, tape stock, DVD stock, dubbing services, camera accessories, wardrobe, transportation services, and storage drives. If you would like to contribute to the project in this way, please email us at info@oneglass.org

Become a Partner Organization-
This is a great opportunity to help our cause while also enjoying significant publicity in the NYC community at large. Email for more information on becoming a partner organization.

Again, all donations of any value are fully tax deductible through our fiscal sponsor, Fractured Atlas, and as a sign of our appreciation, your logo will appear on all signage and in the screening presentation.
